2022 Sparkling Viognier Sunday Brunch Release

Suveg Cellars is exited to release its first sparkling wine! Come by the Suveg Cellars Tasting Room on Sunday March 10th at 10:00 am for a Sunday Brunch Release with food prepared by 007 Crepara!

In 2022, Craig Suveg crafted his first sparkling wine, a Pet Nat version of the 2022 Viognier Pardon My French. Most are probably asking, "what's a pet nat?" Short for the French "pétillant naturel," this is a technique where fermenting juice is bottled while it is still fermenting, i.e. while the yeast is still consuming the grape sugars in the juice. This results in the fermentation continuing inside the bottle; trapping CO2 in the process, and carbonating the wine.

Our first unfiltered Pet Nat has many of the same qualities that made our 2022 Viognier great, like peach notes, honeysuckle, and kiwi. But the gentle carbonation imparted to the wine by the Pet Nat process creates a an effervescent crispness that is sure to quench your thirst in the coming spring and summer months.

To add to the excitement, we'll be teaming up with 007 Crepara for a Sunday Brunch release of our Pet Nat! 007 Crepara makes sweet and svaory crepes from scratch, and will be whipping up some breakfast crepes at Suveg Cellars from 10am- 3pm on Sunday, March 10th.

  • 007 Crepara will be serving food from 10am - 3pm.
