It’s hard to believe, but Suveg Cellars will be celebrating its 6 year anniversary of the California Street Tasting Room on Saturday, May 11th. We'll be celebrating in style, with a bonified southern bbq cooked up by none other than Suveg Cellars faithful Sean Murphy!

The last 6 years have been quite the adventure. Lockdowns, fires, civil unrest, and a myriad of other obstacles have challenged and pushed us to be more creative, lean, and innovative. 6 years after the launch of our California Street Tasting Room, Suveg Cellars is stronger than ever, with the best Wine Club and community any of us could ask for. Take a look at the picture above from our opening day!

Saturday's Anniversary Party will be full of festivities. ALL FOOD IS FREE FOR THIS EVENT. Sean Murphy and his brother Charles will be cooking up Gumbo, Shrimp étouffée, Brisket, Ribs, Chicken and Andouille Sausage, Coleslaw, Baked Beans and Hush Puppies and more.  We'll have lots of surprises for you, including shares and unreleased bottles!

Suveg Cellars Book Club is back this March! Our literary meetup will now meet the SECOND THURSDAY of each month. For those who have not attended, here is how it works:  

1. There is no required reading, and the group will not be meeting to discuss a single book.

2. The group will function more as a literary meetup, where attendees discuss their favorite books, genres, styles, and provide recommendations to each other. This less rigid style makes everything far less stressful and gives attendees the ability to come and go as they please.

3. If you miss a Book Club Meetup, it's OK. Book Club will meet Second Thursday of every month at 6:30 pm at the Suveg Cellars Tasting Room.

We're excited to announce that Winemaker Craig Suveg will be teaching his first wine education class of the year! Join us on Monday, April 29th for a trip through one of California most enjoyable wine regions, as well as one of the most asked about regions in our Tasting Room: Paso Robles. Take a deep dive into Paso Robles and learn about its history, terroir, and of course, our favorite wineries to visit!

Early bird pricing starts today! Tickets are $30 per person and will be going up to $40 on Wednesday, April 24th. Only 30 tickets will be available for this event.

The class will include: 

• This intensive workshop provides students with the opportunity to take a deep dive into Paso Robles, one of the most unique wine-growing appellations in California.

Suveg Cellars is excited for its next Country Night! Join us to welcome the Pickle & Bean Bluegrass Band to the California Street Tasting Room for night of country music and wine on Saturday, April 27th.

Pickle & Bean are an Inland Empire-based group playing traditional and modern bluegrass hits and more. You’ll hear fiddle, mandolin, guitar, and stand up bass, and crunchy 3-part harmonies playing murder ballads, hoedown tunes, and traditional songs from our Americana roots that we all know and can sing along to.  They perform around a single mic, heralding back to stage traditions of the early last century and radio shows. Pickle & Bean will be playing at Suveg Cellars from 7-10pm on Saturday April 27th. Our first Country Night was a huge hit, and we anticipate a large turnout. Make sure to get here early to grab a seat!

Located in the Heart of Redlands, Uncorked on State was started by Jake and Susan Doll in 2023. After successful careers in technology sales, Jake and Susan set out to create a space that was warm, inviting and fostered community through food, wine and hospitality. Suveg Cellars is exited to announce it's Spring Rosé Release! Join us for a Rosé All Day Party at the Tasting Room on Saturday April 20th to celebrate the return of our Rosé "Double D" to the menu.

In 2021, Craig created the first rendition of "Double D" by crafting a Rosé of Grenache that was a massive hit with our wine club, selling out in just under two months. in 2022, Craig crafted a Rosé of Mourvèdre in the same style of as the 2021 "Double D", which sports notes of raspberry, strawberry, lime zest, mineral, and citrus. With just the right balance between fruit and acidity, this wine will surely be a hit as the weather continues to warm. And the name "Double D?" Even though this wine has not a hint of alcohol on the nose or the palette, the wine clocks in at a hefty 15.2% ABV.

To celebrate it's return to the menu, we'll be throwing a Rosé All Day Party on Saturday the 20th. Fresh fruits will be provided to pair with this new mouth watering Rosé, as well as other accouterments.

Suveg Cellars is happy to welcome The Brad Malinowski Quartet to the California Street Tasting Room! Join us on Friday, April 19th to hear the band's follow-up performance at Suveg Cellars after tearing it up this March. 

Brad Malinowski is a seasoned jazz guitarist with decades of experience playing straight-ahead tunes. The new quartet combines Brad's musical talent with the prowess of musicians Bob and Stan, resulting in a new jazz quartet that can play the classics, improvise effortlessly, and light up a crowd.  The quartet will be playing their second show at Suveg Cellars next Friday at 7 pm! So far, our Wine Club Only Nights have been a big hit! Wine Club Members had the opportunity to taste unreleased wines, as well as library wines that are available on a limited basis. This next Wine Club Night will be showcasing some brand new wines that will be hitting the menu in February, and feature a surprise re-release that you'll need to show up to taste! The picture above is a clue for what will be released!

Here is what to expect at our next event, as well as some ground rules. 

1. Charcuterie will be provided for all Wine Club Members in attendance. 
2. We will be opening several bottles of upcoming, unreleased wines as well as several library bottles for members to taste.
3. Bottle sharing is more than welcome, just make sure you purchase a minimum of one bottle to take home or drink on-site if you bring something to share with fellow members!

The Yucaipa Valley Wine Alliance will be hosting a celebration to commemorate the passage of the Wine Country Specific Plan by Yucaipa City Council. Come join us for some wine and complimentary food on Sunday April 14th from 1-6pm.

The Yucaipa Valley Wine Country Specific Plan places close to 500 acres of land on the North Bench that was previously zoned residential under permanent easement, saving this land in perpetuity for vineyards and wineries. For months this hotly debated plan made its way through the rigorous City Approval process. After the Yucaipa City Planning Commission voted to recommend the plan by a slim margin of 4-3, the plan was approved last week by Yucaipa City Council by a margin of 4-1. We'll be hosting a celebratory gathering on April 14th at Suveg Cellars Tasting Room on California Street to commemorate the preservation of this land, and the opportunity to we have to jump start our nascent wine region.

Food will be complimentary, supplied by the Yucaipa Valley Wine Alliance!

Our previous events with The Seafood Shack were a huge success, and we're excited to welcome them back at the Tasting Room. The Seafood Shack is a mobile, Cajun-inspired seafood truck based right here in Southern California. Serving up specialties such as Crab Fries, Shrimp Biscuits, fish fillets, pasta, and more, The Seafood Shack will be serving wares that should perfectly complement our wine on a sunny spring day and evening. Ian Kauffman has been studying the guitar since age 9. He's honed his skills over the decades playing Latin, jazz, and classical styles of guitar. After taking some time off from work to study with the descended masters of acoustic guitar in Southern Spain, Ian's sound and polished fingerpicking techniques have generated regional acclaim. We couldn't be happier to showcase his skills at the California Street Tasting Room and bring his sound to you.

With an uncanny ability to fit the mood of any party or event, Skip draws on his immense repertoire, extremely versatile vocal range, and accomplished instrumental ability to please even the most critical of audiences.

We're excited to host our first Suveg Cellars Chili Cook Off on Saturday March 30th at 1pm!

With so many talented cooks in our Wine Club, we're shocked this event didn't happen years ago. The rules are simple. Show up with your pot of chili at Suveg Cellars by 1pm on Saturday March 30th. At 2pm, we'll be doing a blind taste test where visitors try all the competitors' chili, and vote on which one is their favorite.

Winner gets a 1 cent Magnum of their choosing! Runner up gets a 1 cent 750ml bottle of their choosing.

Our only requirements is that you bring your chili in a vessel to keep it warm! And our only additional request is that you bring your A game. The competition will be stiff!

Jes Abel is a Yoga instructor operating out of local gym Revolution Fitness. Jes has over 15 years of experience coaching spin, health and wellness, and will be setting up at Suveg Cellars on Saturday, March 23rd at 10am to conduct an entry level, slow and gentle flow Yoga class. The class will be donation based, and Jes will be donating the proceeds of the class to a charity of her choosing. After the class, make sure to do a tasting, or grab a glass or bottle!

On Sunday, March 17th our resident goofball and Tasting Room Associate Shawn Willis will be serving a bunch of corned beef and cabbage and handing it out for free! No food will be for sale, and a bottle of wine purchase per couple is encouraged.

Join us for a special event years in the making, as we throw our first March Madness Cork Toss Competition at Suveg Cellars on Saturday March 16th at 1pm.

If you've ever been to the tasting room, there is a high likelihood that you've seen Devin or Shawn try and toss corks into the very large glass at the end of the bar (a task that is much harder than it looks).  On March 16th, we'll be opening up the challenge to the entire Wine Club and general public, as teams will compete head to head to see who has the best aim, and who gets bragging rights in the Ides of March. Here is how the competition works:

+We're looking for 32 teams of 2 to compete in the cork toss. There is no charge to compete, and the sign up process is below.

+The competition will be bracketed, and the winner of each toss will move on to the next round.

+Each round is 2 minutes long. Each team will be shooting at their own large glass. Whichever team shoots the most corks into their glass in 2 minutes moves on to the next round. If there is a tie at the end of two minutes, a 30 second sudden death tiebreaker will determine the winner.

Winner gets a 1 cent Magnum of their choosing! Runner up gets a 1 cent 750ml bottle of their choosing.

Teams need to be present by 12:45 sharp.

Suveg Cellars is excited to welcome back solo act Walle Larsson to the California Street Tasting Room on Friday, March 15th!

The larger-than-life, 6'4" Walle Larsson has been crafting jazz albums and acting as an emissary for the genre for over 30 years. Walle has shared the stage with some all-time greats, including Mel Torme and Tony Bennet. His talents have also taken to play prestigious events like the Montreal Jazz Festival, and record with famous labels like Blue Note Records. With his extensive talents and years of experience, Walle will surely put on a performance to remember at the California Street Tasting Room. Walle rocked the house in September to a full house, so make sure to get there early to get a seat!

Suveg Cellars Book Club is back this March! Our literary meetup will now meet the SECOND THURSDAY of each month. For those who have not attended, here is how it works:  

1. There is no required reading, and the group will not be meeting to discuss a single book.

2. The group will function more as a literary meetup, where attendees discuss their favorite books, genres, styles, and provide recommendations to each other. This less rigid style makes everything far less stressful and gives attendees the ability to come and go as they please.

3. If you miss a Book Club Meetup, it's OK. Book Club will meet Second Thursday of every month at 6:30 pm at the Suveg Cellars Tasting Room.

We're excited to announce our next Wine Club Only Night at Suveg Cellars on Wednesday, March 13th!

So far, our Wine Club Only Nights have been a big hit! Wine Club Members had the opportunity to taste unreleased wines, as well as library wines that are available on a limited basis. This next Wine Club Night will be showcasing some brand new wines that will be hitting the menu in February, and feature a surprise re-release that you'll need to show up to taste! The picture above is a clue for what will be released!

Here is what to expect at our next event, as well as some ground rules. 

1. Charcuterie will be provided for all Wine Club Members in attendance. 
2. We will be opening several bottles of upcoming, unreleased wines as well as several library bottles for members to taste.
3. Bottle sharing is more than welcome, just make sure you purchase a minimum of one bottle to take home or drink on-site if you bring something to share with fellow members!

Suveg Cellars is exited to release its first sparkling wine! Come by the Suveg Cellars Tasting Room on Sunday March 10th at 10:00 am for a Sunday Brunch Release with food prepared by 007 Crepara!

In 2022, Craig Suveg crafted his first sparkling wine, a Pet Nat version of the 2022 Viognier Pardon My French. Most are probably asking, "what's a pet nat?" Short for the French "pétillant naturel," this is a technique where fermenting juice is bottled while it is still fermenting, i.e. while the yeast is still consuming the grape sugars in the juice. This results in the fermentation continuing inside the bottle; trapping CO2 in the process, and carbonating the wine.

Our first unfiltered Pet Nat has many of the same qualities that made our 2022 Viognier great, like peach notes, honeysuckle, and kiwi. But the gentle carbonation imparted to the wine by the Pet Nat process creates a an effervescent crispness that is sure to quench your thirst in the coming spring and summer months.

To add to the excitement, we'll be teaming up with 007 Crepara for a Sunday Brunch release of our Pet Nat! 007 Crepara makes sweet and svaory crepes from scratch, and will be whipping up some breakfast crepes at Suveg Cellars from 10am- 3pm on Sunday, March 10th.
