Throughout the years, many have asked us to make a Malbec. Next Sunday, the wait will be over, as we release our first and certainly not last rendition of Malbec, Capital Requirements.

Our 2016 Malbec displays an intense dark color and light tannins which add some mid-palate weight to this medium-bodied wine. 30 months of aging in neutral French oak and neutral Hungarian oak barrels add to its complexity. The polished palate conveys harmonious notes of freshly picked blackberries, bing cherries, ripe plum, salted caramel, Madagascar vanilla and chocolate underscored by fresh-cut eucalyptus wood, tobacco and violets.

The name Capital Requirements stems from the fact that Malbec grapes in California are EXPENSIVE thanks to the lack of supply, another reason that we are encouraging plantings of this grape that thrives in higher elevations in the Yucaipa Valley.

Our Malbec will be on 6/22, and will be the last release prior to the end of the quarter. If you still have a pickup to complete before quarter's end this is a perfect time!
