Part-Time Tasting Room Associate

We are looking to add a part-time Tasting Room Associate to our team who can hit the ground running. This Tasting Room Associate will report to our Winery Director, and work to maintain our one of a kind tasting room experience that focuses on wine education, personalized treatment, and a level of service that can compete with the best in the wine industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Tasting Room service and sales

  • Provide top tier service to new and existing customers, focusing on wine education

  • Succinctly educate customers on the Suveg Cellars winemaking methods, approaches, and narratives that connect people with our product

  • Promote, and actively sign up new customers to the Suveg Cellars Wine Club

  • Assist Winery Director with Wine Club related customer service

  • Opening and closing of cash drawers at beginning and end of shifts

  • Perform opening and closing duties of the Suveg Cellars Tasting Room

  • Assist with private and special events when needed

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in the service industry

  • Demonstrable knowledge of wine, winemaking, and the wine industry

  • Superior verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proactive, independent, and improvisational. Associate can handle fast-paced service settings with ease, multi-tasking without sacrificing customer service

  • Familiarity with POS Systems and Google Applications

  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time

  • Must be 21 years of age.

  • A sense of humor isn’t required, but very helpful.

Compensation

Compensation will be a combination of hourly pay and tips.
