We're having a special library release this Sunday for Mother's Day! All Mom's deal with objections from their kids day in and day out, and exercise levels of patience that most of us envy. Therefore it was only appropriate that the aptly named 2015 Objection Overruled and 2016 Objection Sustained, our two Montepulcianos, come back to the Tasting Room for Mother's Day.
When Winemaker Craig Suveg was unanimously outvoted by our tasting crew, he bottled our 2015 Montepulciano against his better instincts and named the wine "Objection Overruled." Though our 2015 vintage was a great wine in its own right, Craig gave up no control of the 2016 vintage and bottled it when he deemed "ready," calling the wine "Objection Sustained." This Mother's Day, Wine Club Members and members of the public alike will be able to finally settle the score, and determine whether or not Craig's objections were sustained, or should have been overruled.
For those who have never tried our Montepulcianos, these are the lightest red wines Craig has produced, and are akin to Pinot Noir: Lightly extracted and translucent, delicate, foresty, and with vibrant acidity. Both are excellent renditions of the varietal, and are surely worth taking home.
There will only be 24 bottles of each vintage available! Make sure to get there early to reserve yours. Take a look at the event details below for more information.
